Nursery Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily activities and fostering positive relationships with both children and parents.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.

Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.

Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.

Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages positive behaviour among children.

Work as part of a team to create a welcoming atmosphere for families within the nursery.

Requirements

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.

Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting.

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

Ability to drive is advantageous but not mandatory for this role.

Knowledge of child development theories and practices is preferred.

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
